George Roger Willenberg, 37, of Hoisington, Kansas died Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Wilson Lake in Russell County.

George was born December 27, 1975 in Great Bend, Kansas, the son of Wayne and Deloris (Edmisten) Willenberg.  He grew up on a farm north of Claflin, Kansas and attended schools there.

George worked in the oil field for several companies and a general handyman.  He was able to fix anything.  He was a member of the V.F.W. Men’s Auxiliary in Hoisington.  He enjoyed the outdoors, boating, motorcycles, and fixing things.

Surviving family includes two children Wain Waymaster of Holyrood, Kansas and Shannon Willenberg of Norman, Oklahoma; step daughter, Dray Presley of Norman, Oklahoma; mother Deloris Willenberg of Claflin, Kansas; three brothers Mike Willenberg (Angelica) and Jack Willenberg ( Leann) all of Claflin, Kansas and Dennis Willenberg of Austin, Texas; sister Lana Zajic (Matt Steinle) of Wilson, Kansas; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father and sister Dana Willenberg.

The family will be holding private services at a later date.  Cremation has taken place.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of these arrangements.
