Mary R. (Wolfers) Schneider, 87 of Russell, Kansas died Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Wilson, Kansas.
Mary was born December 18, 1925 in Tipton, Kansas the daughter of Joe and Mary (Hollerich) Wolfers. She grew up in Tipton and graduated from Tipton High School. She then attended Brown Mackey College in Salina.
She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Clarence Pete Schneider in 1972 at Las Vegas, Nevada. They made their home in Russell, Kansas.
Mary was the owner and operator of Red’s Chicken House in Russell.
Mary attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending her time at McDonalds having coffee, bowling and spending time at the Russell Senior Center. She loved to cook for family and friends.
Surviving family include her husband of 41 years, Pete of Wilson, Kansas; son Kenneth Beiker of Nickerson, Kansas; three grandchildren, Tami Fuller (Chad) of Syracuse, Nebraska, Jani Cook (Lonny) of Great Bend, Kansas, and Bobby Bieker of Kilgore, Texas; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and son Bob Bieker.
Celebration of Mary’s Life will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. A private family burial will take place following the service.
