Dakota Brady Gregg, 20 of Hays, Kansas and formerly of Russell, Kansas died Saturday, February 23, 2014 at his residence.
Dakota was born November 2, 1993 in Hays, Kansas, one of two sons born to Kevin R. Gregg and Jamie D. Ray. He grew up and attended school in Russell. He graduated from Russell High School with the Class of 2012 and was attending Ft. Hays State University.
Dakota was a student at Ft. Hays State University. He was recently working with a mechanic in Hays. Dakota worked as a Harvester for the Mader Group in Hays and as a Harvester for the Preston Company out of Colorado.
He enjoyed playing sports, fishing, hunting, camping, biking and music.
Surviving family include his father Kevin Gregg of Russell, Kansas; mother, Jamie D. Musson and stepfather Brad of Wichita, Kansas; brother, Jon Casey Gregg of Wichita, Kansas; grandparents, Ron & Cora Gregg of Russell, Kansas and Brad & Lois Ray of Olathe, Kansas.
A Funeral service for Dakota will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at the mortuary with the family present to greet friends from 6 PM to 7 PM. A Memorial has been established as the Dakota Gregg Memorial Fund. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
