Penny Marie (Boese) Fehrenbach, 51, of Wilson, Kansas died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at her home with her family by her side.
Penny was born April 3, 1962 in Larned, Kansas, the daughter of Ronald and Nila (Blehm ) Boese. She grew up in Ness City until 1970 when her family moved to Oakley. She graduated from Oakley High School. In 2003 she moved to Russell, Kansas until 2010 when she moved to Ellsworth. Then in 2012 she moved to Wilson.
Penny was united in marriage to John Fehrenbach on September 21, 2013 in Alexander, Kansas.
Penny was a 911 Dispatcher for over 23 years. She was a Dispatcher for Ness County and Dispatcher Supervisor for the Ellsworth County Sheriff’s Office.
Penny was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Oakley. She also belonged to the Oakley Derby Club and as a child 4-H. She enjoyed riding Harley motorcycles, spending time at Wilson Lake and doing everything with her granddaughter.
Penny’s surviving family include her husband John of the home; daughter, Melissa Close Lippelmann (Milo) of Oberlin, Kansas; son, A.J. VonLehe of Hays, Kansas; parents, Ronald & Nila Boese of Alexander, Kansas; stepdaughter, Sue Fehrenbach Drayer (SSGT Jason); brothers, Howard Boese (Brenda) and Joey Boese (Deea) all of Brownell, Kansas; sister, Robin Boese of Oakley, Kansas; granddaughter, Ryllie Lippelmann and numerous nieces and nephews.
Penny was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herman and Irene Blehm and Walter and Minnie Boese; cousin, Chris E. Rupp and great nephew Jason Boese.
Celebration of Penny’s Life will be held at 11:30 A.M. Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the former United Methodist Church in Alexander. Burial will follow at the Alexander Cemetery. Visitation will be 9 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell with the family present to greet friends from 6 PM to 7 PM. A Memorial has been established as the Penny Fehrenbach Memorial Fund. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
