Paul Ramon Seirer, 57, Luray, entered the gates of Heaven on August 23, 2014, after a short battle with cancer.  Paul was born December 31, 1956, in Lucas, Kansas, to Galeland and Edna (Dean) Seirer, one of eleven children.  He graduated from Luray High School and NCKAVTS-Beloit in Carpentry.  He loved his family and friends.  He loved children, spoiling the nieces and nephews when everyone came to Grandma and Grandpa Seirer's, then later the great-nieces & nephews.  He loved baking & cooking-being most famous for his homemade German chocolate cake.  He enjoyed attending the Kansas State High School State Basketball Tournament every year in Hays.  He also enjoyed attending the Phillipsburg Rodeo every year, family genealogy, carpentry, enjoyed helping those in need, telling great stories that made everyone laugh, and attending auctions. 

He is survived by his son, Travis & wife Danica of Wichita; grandchildren, Jackson & Maebelle; his siblings; his nieces & nephews; and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Galeland & Edna Seirer.

A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, August 29, 2014, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.  Burial will follow at the Luray City Cemetery in Luray, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Thursday, August 28, 2014, at the mortuary with the family present to greet guests from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Thursday evening.  Memorials may be given to the Paul Seirer memorial fund to help with Paul’s medical expenses, and can be sent in care of the mortuary.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
