Denise Ann Williams, 52 of Catoosa, Oklahoma and formerly of Russell, Kansas died Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in Oklahoma.
Denise was born March 31, 1962 in Russell, the daughter of Paul Duane and Ruby J. (Schoen) Williams. She grew up in Russell and graduated from Russell High School in 1980.
Denise and Michael Archer met in Russell where their life together began. They moved to the Tulsa, Oklahoma area during the early 80’s. They have resided in the Tulsa area since.
Denise was a Sales Representative for ALMO Associates. She was the company’s representative in the Kansas and Oklahoma territories. She has also worked for DSI Distributives where she sold consumer electronics. When she was living in Russell she worked at the radio station and for various stores around town. She was a member of the Russell V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She was a workaholic, but also enjoyed shopping, collecting shoes, a great appreciation for Art, and returning to Russell to see her family and friends.
Surviving family include her longtime companion, Michael Archer of the home; mother, Ruby Williams of Russell, Kansas; sister, Deb Williams of Huntington Beach, California; brothers, Laurel “Bud” Williams of Russell, Kansas and Scotty Williams of Salina, Kansas; nephew Nicholas Williams of Russell, Kansas; and many cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by her father Paul and brother Thomas Williams.
Celebration of Denise’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 22, 2014 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell with Pastor Terry West officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Monday at the Langley Cemetery in Langley, Kansas. Visitation will be from 1 PM to 8 PM Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the mortuary. A Memorial has been established with the Valley Hope of Norton. Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
