Martin Raymond Davis, 63, of Russell, Kansas passed away Monday, January 12, 2015 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell.

Martin was born November 27, 1951 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Silas Martin and Joan (Stanley) Davis.  He was living in Odessa, Texas when his family moved to the Stockton and Plainville, Kansas area.  He graduated from Stockton High School with the Class of ’70.

Martin was united in marriage to Trijuana Reiman on February 9, 1976 in La Crosse, Kansas.  They made their home in Hays, Kansas before moving to Russell in 1976.
This union was blessed with three daughters, Christina, Angela and Andrea.

Martin was the owner and operator of Martino’s Pizza from 1983 to 2007.  He also worked for Pizza Inn and Pizza Hut as manager before opening his own place.  Martin had also worked part time for the Russell County Sheriff’s Department patrolling Lake Wilson.  Later in life he worked for Klema’s apple Market.  He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed trips to the casino, fishing, and as much as he loved pizza, it was always second to building relationships with his customers.  After Martino’s closed, he became totally devoted to his grandchildren who were the light of his life, and gave him endless joy.

Surviving family include his wife of almost 40 years, Trijuana of the home; daughter, Andrea Neeley (Chris) of Hays, Kansas; sisters, Cheryl Ahrens of Oakley, Kansas and Jolene Carter of Guthrie, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rowan MacKenzie Neeley and Solomon Finn Neeley; uncle, Ray Stanley of Austin, Texas; and numerous cousin, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, two daughters, Christina Joan Reiman and Angela Dawn Davis, and sister Cindy Shirley.

Celebration of Martin’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Trinity United Methodist Church of Russell with Pastor John Thompson officiating.  A Graveside service will be held at 1:30 PM Thursday at Mt. Allen Cemetery in Hays, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary with the family present to greet friends from 6 PM to 7 PM.  A Memorial has been established with St. Jude’s Children Hospital.  Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
