Cael Scott Evans, 13 of Russell, Kansas passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 from an accident south of Russell.

Cael was born May 2, 2002 in Hays, Kansas, the son of Shawn and Sara (Honas) Evans.
He was a student as Ruppenthal Middle School of Russell where he was active in football and wrestling.  He loved playing baseball, being outdoors, hunting whitetails, looking for sheds with his family, and spending time at the river with his friends.

Cael’s surviving family include his parents, Shawn and Sara Evans of Russell, Kansas; brother, Cade Evans of the home; sisters, Alyssa Evans, Bailey Evans and Caleigh Evans all of the home; grandparents, David Evans, Kay and Steve Ickler and Rusty Williams all of Russell, Kansas, and Connie and Ben Bayless of St. Louis, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shayne Barnes and grandfather, Douglas Honas.

Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at the Evans’ Home located at 18529 Walters Rd., Russell, Kansas.  Burial will follow at the Bunker Hill Cemetery in Bunker Hill, Kansas.  Visitation will be from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell with the family present to greet friends from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to the Cael Evans’ Memorial Fund.  Contributions and condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
