Linda Ann (Boswell) Hendrich, 66, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the KU Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Linda was born January 26, 1949 in Pittsburg, Kansas, the daughter of Leo and Maxine (Adcock) Boswell. She grew up in Pittsburg and graduated from Pittsburg High School.
Linda was united in marriage to Vernon Leroy Hendrich on November 19th, 1966 in Pittsburg. This union was blessed with two sons, Bradley and Joey. Linda and her family made their home in Russell, Kansas.
Linda was a devoted wife and homemaker. She worked with Leroy at Auto Excellence. She worked for Walmart in Hays, Hometown Brand Center in Russell, and was a telephone operator here in Russell. She was a member of the Otterbein United Methodist Church and was very active at the church’s Kids Club. She enjoyed oil painting, shopping, spending time tending her flower garden, traveling and playing with her grandchildren.
Linda’s surviving family include her husband of 48 years, Leroy of the home; two sons, Bradley Hendrich of Russell, Kansas and Joey Hendrich (Laurie) of Olathe, Kansas; two brothers, John Boswell of Arma, Kansas and Carl Boswell of Springfield, Missouri; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and infant sister, Carol Boswell.
Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 14, 2015 at the Otterbein United Methodist Church with Pastor Earl Haggard officiating. Burial will follow at the Russell City Cemetery. Viewing will be held at the church Monday morning from 9:30 AM to service time. A Memorial has been established with the Otterbein United Methodist Church Kid’s Club.
