Margaret Helen Bloomer died peacefully in her sleep and joined her loved ones in heaven on Friday, December 18, 2015,while at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Margaret’s life was dedicated to prayer, family, and friends.

Margaret was born in Flora, IL on October 2, 1938, to Rev. Alfred and Dorothy (Grother) Winter.  In 1942, the family moved to Evansville, IN where Margaret attended Redeemer Lutheran School, Benjamin Bosse High School, and Evansville College(now University of Evansville.) She worked at Home State Bank as a teller and later worked in her field of study as a library secretary for Russell Middle School, as well as a library assistant for the Russell Public Library.  She had an excellent gift of remembering names of the people she served.  Margaret enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as playing bridge, singing in the choir, watching old movies, doing needle arts, and praying for those in need.  Margaret was united in marriage to Dean Keil on January 6, 1962, in Russell. This union was blessed with two daughters, Cheryl and Kathy. Later in life, Margaret was united in marriage to Joseph Bloomer on September 14, 1991, in Russell. They enjoyed life together traveling and visiting with family and friends.   When they met they shared their joy for dancing.

Survivors include:  brother John Winter (Debbi) of Wichita, KS, and sister Marie Winter Meth (David) of Evansville, IN; daughters Cheryl Keil Nelson and Kathy Keil Louder (Mike); grandchildren Benjamin Nelson (Kelly), Holly Nelson Adedire (Sam), Clinton Nelson (Jenna), Lindsay Louder Banks (Jim), Luke Louder (Samantha Francis), Lacey Louder; great grandchildren:  Paige and Brock Nelson, Asha Adedire, Landon Nelson, and Jaelin Banks.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents; Reverend Alfred and Dorothy Winter.

Celebration of Margaret’s Life will be held at 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at Peace Lutheran Church in Natoma.  Margaret’s final resting place will be at the Natoma Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Tuesday, December 22, 2015, at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, with the family present to greet friends from 6 PM to 7 PM.  Memorial Contributions may be made to: THE LUTHERAN HOUR and RUSSELL RELAY FOR LIFE.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary is in charge of these arrangements.
