Stanley Lee Bailey, 60, of Wichita, Kansas and former Russell and Hays resident, died on Thursday, August 11, 2016, at the Rolling Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wichita.
Stanley was born on January 10, 1956, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Jerry Dean and Wilma Jean (Wilhelm) Bailey. He grew up in Russell, Kansas, and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1974. He worked in the oilfield industry for most of his adult life. He enjoyed working on cars or just about anything he could make go fast. He lived in Galveston, Texas, Dodge City and Wichita, Kansas.
Surviving family include his mother Wilma Jean Bailey of Hays, Kansas; daughters Shanna Quinilla and husband Alfredo of Altus, Oklahoma, Jamie L. Crabtree and husband William of Eakly, Oklahoma and Leah Brown and husband Zachary of Wichita, Kansas; brother Doug Bailey of Dallas, Texas; sister Cynthia Henning of Russell, Kansas; grandchildren Adrian Ailon, Aerabella Quinilla, Aubrey and Lexie Schmidt and Peyson Crabtree. He was preceded in death by his father.
A gathering service to meet and greet family and friends of Stanley, will be held from 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. on Friday, August 19, 2016, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell. Cremation has preceded the services. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
