Robert Glenn “Uncle Bobby” McLean, Jr., 58, of Russell, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas.

Robert was born December 30, 1958 in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of Robert G. and Judith (Purcell) McLean.  He grew up in the Phoenix area and graduated from high school there.

Robert was a truck driver and chef by trade.  He enjoyed traveling all over the United States and was proud to be a chef at Houlihans in Scottsdale, Arizona.  He was a jack of all trades that cherished his family.

Surviving family include his son, Joshua McLean of Russell, Kansas; daughter, Brandi McLean of Tennessee; and sisters, Sandy Oelke (Robert) of Russell, Kansas and Robin Grebba (Paul) of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughters Karma & Jasmynn McLean.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Carolyn Pearson.

Bobby’s family will be holding a Memorial Service at Noon to 4 P.M. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at the Russell Elks Lodge.  Cremation has been selected by the family.  Memorials may be given to help for funeral expenses and sent in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
