Michael Allen McGlocklin, 66, of Russell, Kansas, died on Thursday, February 01, 2018, at the Wilson Care and Rehabilitation Center in Wilson, Kansas.

Michael was born on November 02, 1951, in Russell, Kansas, the son of Earl Adril and Bess Paralee (Compton) McGlocklin.  He grew up in Russell, Kansas and graduated from Russell High School in the class of 1969.  He worked as a farmer and as an oilfield worker for Shields Oil for over 35 years.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, tending to his roses and using his metal detector to find interesting treasures.  Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.

Surviving family include his daughters Melinda Coria of Lecompton, Kansas and Heather McGlocklin of Wichita, Kansas; sister Robin McGlocklin of Hesston, Kansas; 3 grandchildren Evalinda Coria, Alejandro Coria and Isabell Coria and great grandson Oliver Ziegler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mick McGlocklin and sister Jody Warren.

A gathering service to celebrate Michael's life will be held from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell, Kansas.  Cremation has been selected by the family and a private burial of the cremains will take place at a later date in the Russell City Cemetery.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of  Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
