Donna F. Schneider, 83, of Russell, Kansas, died on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at the Hays Medical Center in Hays, Kansas. 

Donna was born on June 05, 1936, in Bazine, Kansas, the daughter of Jacob and Martha (Voos) Strecker.  She grew up in Russell, Kansas and graduated from Russell high school.  She was married to Marvin E. Schneider.  Later she and Marvin were divorced.  Donna was blessed with eight children Kevin, Keven, Marvonna, Murray, Darren, Kirby, Denna and Shawn.  She was a fulltime homemaker taking care of her growing family.  She was a longtime active member of St. John Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas.  She enjoyed Jigsaw puzzles and visiting with friends and neighbors.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Surviving family include her sons Keven Schneider (Becky), Darren Schneider (Kim), Kirby Schneider (Karen) and Shawn Schneider (Angela); daughters Marvonna Denning (Kirk) and Denna Schneider (Tina); brother Larry Strecker (Jackie); sisters Dorothy Hanes and Janice Nichols; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Kevin Schneider, son Murray Schneider and brothers Leon and Elton Strecker.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, February 19, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell, Kansas, with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.  Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, with family greeting guests from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Tuesday night.  Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church and sent in care of the mortuary.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas, is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
