Keith Terryl Wagner, 57, of Gorham, died on Monday, October 25, 2010 at the Russell Regional Hospital in Russell.
Keith was born on June 2, 1953 in Phillipsburg, Kansas, the son of Fred H. and Bonnie E. (Myers) Wagner. He grew up and attended school in Prairie View, Kansas and graduated from Logan High School in Logan, Kansas. He also attended Fort Hays State University for 2 years. He was married 7 years to Kristina D. Thomas on June 20, 1981 in Russell, Kansas. From this union they were blessed with two sons, Tyler and Jordan. Keith was a jack of all trades with many skills working as a contract oilfield pumper, owner of his own construction company, and worked for King of the Road. Later in life he partnered with his oldest son Tyler, owning and operating a construction and remodeling company. Keith loved adventure and loved spending time outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, all sports, farming and ranching. One of his greatest passions was being involved and coaching his sons in baseball. He was a wonderful story teller and loved helping his fellow neighbor. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Surviving family include his two sons Tyler E. Wagner and wife Kim of Gorham and Jordan T. Wagner and wife Jennifer of Wilson; brothers Lynn Wagner and wife Mina, Rick Wagner and wife Tammy and Tracey Wagner; sisters Cheryl Danielson and husband Ben Davis; three grandchildren Ryleigh, Taylar and Jaxson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
A memorial service to celebrate Keith’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 1, 2010 at the Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary Chapel. The family requests that friends and family please give to the memorial designated by the family, the American Legion Baseball.
