Karl R. Tague, 64, of Centerville, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at his home.
Karl was born on October 23, 1946 in Russell, Kansas, the son of Raymond Tague and Esther (Tague) White. He grew up and attended school in the Russell area and graduated from Russell High School in 1964. He attended and graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Wichita State University and achieved his Masters Degree from George Washington University in Washington D.C. Later, he joined the United States Army and was an E5 assigned to the military intelligence division during Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. Several years later he met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Sandra. He worked as a C.E.O. for several hospitals during his adult life. Karl loved spending time outdoors gardening, fishing and keeping his yard looking nice. He enjoyed his two dogs Maggie and Jake. Most of all he enjoyed spending time at home with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Tague of the home, mother, Esther White of Russell, son Brian Tague and wife Elizabeth; daughters Beth Zosh and husband John, Andrea Focke and husband Andrew; sister Cindy Ranabarger and husband Carl and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Tague and his grandparents.
A memorial service to celebrate Karl’s life will be held at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Russell, with Pastor Roger Dennis and Pastor John Thompson officiating. A private inurnment of the cremains will take place at a later time. The family would like to invite guests to join them for a reception in the St. John Lutheran Church fellowship hall immediately following the memorial service. Memorials may be given to the St. John Lutheran Church or Trinity United Methodist Church and sent in care of the mortuary. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary is in charge of the memorial service arrangements.
