Pauline Barbara Caprez, 96, of Russell, Kansas, died on Monday, January 23, 2012 at her son in Katy, Texas, where she had been living with her son Ronald.

Pauline was born on Sunday, December 5, 1915, in Hardtner, Kansas, the daughter of Ralph and Dora (Drown) Wooldridge.  She grew up and attended school in the Waldo, Kansas area and graduated from Waldo High School.  She met, fell in love and was united in marriage to Frank R. Caprez on November 5, 1938 in Russell, Kansas.  From this union Pauline and Frank were blessed with two sons Randy and Ronald.  Frank preceded her in death on October 25, 1985. 

Pauline worked for United Phone Company as an operator and later worked for Russell Regional Hospital for 10 years in the food service department.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her two sons Ronald C. Caprez and wife Karen of Houston, Texas and Randy R. Caprez and wife Jeanie of Russell, Kansas; sister in-law Pat Wooldridge both of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Frank and brothers Wayne Wooldridge and Ralph Wooldridge.

A graveside service to celebrate Pauline’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Russell City Cemetery in Russell, Kansas with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.  The guestbook will be available from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Friday, January 27 at the mortuary.  Memorials may be given to the Dream Theatre and sent in care of the mortuary.  Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
