Barbara Jean Auble, 75, of Paradise, Kansas, died on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Russell Regional Hospital emergency room.
Barbara was born on February 14, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Richard Leroy and Elsie (Majer) Arnold. She grew up and attended school in Crown Point, Indiana and lived in LaCrosse, Indiana for 42 years. She worked as a truck driver and bartender for many years. She was an avid collector and enjoyed going to flea markets looking for new items to add to her various collections. She also loved sending Christmas and birthday cards to her family and friends. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters Barbara L. Christiansen of Delphi, Indiana, Alanda Kingery of Knox, Indiana and Christine Zeiters of Paradise, Kansas; son David Auble of Paradise, Kansas; brother Fred Arnold and wife Sharla of Eugene, Oregon; 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Richard Arnold, Jr.
Cremation has preceded the services. A memorial service to honor Barbara’s life will be held for her in Indiana at a later date. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas is in charge of the funeral service arrangements.
