Isaac Caleb “Big Red” Ehrlich, 9 of Russell died Thursday, March 22, 2012 from an accident.
Isaac was born September 5, 2002 in Great Bend, Kansas the son of Michael J. Ehrlich and Mandy (Funk) Ehrlich. Isaac was attending Bickerdyke Elementary School in Russell. He was active in the Cub Scouts, playing flag football and baseball and playing down at the creek. He enjoyed shooting his BB gun and taking motorcycle rides with his dad. Isaac had a big heart and was very protective of his family and friends.
Surviving family include his dad, Michael Ehrlich of Russell, Kansas; mother, Mandy Ehrlich of Russell, Kansas; brother, Adrion Ehrlich of Russell, Kansas; two sisters, Michaela Ehrlich and Jaydon Funk both of Russell, Kansas; paternal grandparents, Lance Miller of Ponca City, Oklahoma and Janet Baker of Sacremento, California, maternal grandparents, Denise Miller (Tony) of Russell, Kansas and Rod Funk (Tracy) of Reed Springs, Missouri; and great grandmother Dorothy Schulz of Russell, Kansas.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, March 27, 2012 at St. John Lutheran Church in Russell with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating. Burial will follow in the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell, Kansas. Visitation will be from 9 AM to 8 PM Monday, March 26, 2012 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell with the family present to greet friends from 6 PM to 7 PM. A memorial has been established as the Isaac Ehrlich Memorial. Contributions and condolences may be sent in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
