Mary “Bea” (Bealby) Lange, 84, of Wichita Falls, Texas and former Paradise, Kansas, resident died on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Royal Estates in Wichita Falls.
Bea was born on October 18, 1927, in Paradise, Kansas, the daughter of James A. and Mary V. (Booth) Bealby. She grew up in the Paradise area and graduated from Paradise High School in 1945. She was united in marriage to Melvin H. Lange on December 21, 1946, in Robstown, Texas. Melvin preceded Bea in death on January 11, 2005. From this union Bea and Melvin were blessed with three children Dina, Audrey and Arthur. Bea worked as a secretary for the Kansas State Department, but her fulltime job was acting as homemaker for her growing family. She was a member of the United Methodist Church as well as a member of the Home Extension Club, NCO Wife’s Club and the Lioness Club. She enjoyed reading and cooking but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Surviving family include her daughter Dina Redmon and husband Robert of Wichita Falls, Texas, daughter Audrey Bee and husband Don of Wichita Falls, Texas, and son Arthur Lange and wife Dana of Marquette, Kansas; brother Steve Bealby and wife Madonna of Kansas City; 1 grandchild, 3 step granddaughters, and 5 step great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and brother J.L. Bealby.
A graveside memorial service to honor Bea's life will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery in rural Paradise, Kansas, with Pastor Allison Williams officiating. Cremation has preceded the service and inurnment of the cremains will follow the graveside service. A reception will be held at the Paradise United Methodist Church immediately following the graveside service. Cards and condolences may be sent in care of the mortuary. Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell is in charge of the funeral service.
