Robert Brian Fairbank, 39, of Hays, Kansas died Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
Brian was born April 21, 1973 in Newton, Kansas the son of Bob and Earline (Schwartzkopf) Fairbank. Many times were spent at Cedar Crest Farm with Uncle Herb, Aunt Lolita, Diann and Mickey. After graduating high school U.S.D. 302 Ransom, Kansas he received his B.S. Degree from Pittsburg State University. A summer was spent as a water safety counselor/instructor at a boy’s camp in Massachusetts.
Prior to moving to Hays, Brian was a teacher and coach at high schools in Webb City, Missouri; Easton, Kansas; and Tescott, Kansas. His first employer in Hays was Waffle Crete International, Inc. He was currently employed by Trilobite Testing, Inc.
Brian was a loving father to daughter Rylie Jan and son Bryson Dean. Other survivors include his father, Bob Fairbank; mother, Earline Fairbank; sister, Tanya and husband Brian Gillig; nephew, Ben Gillig; niece, Katya Gillig; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A private family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. A Memorial has been established as The Brian Fairbank Memorial. Contributions and condolences may be sent in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary of Russell, Kansas.
