Todd Franklin Roberts, 35 of Russell, Kansas died Friday, December 21, 2012 at the Russell Regional Hospital.

Todd was born February 18, 1977 in Erie, Pennsylvania, the son of James Maurice and Billie JoAnne (Uhler) Roberts.  He grew up and attended schools in the Cranesville, Pennsylvania area.

Todd was united in marriage to Tina Marie Connors on October 2, 2000.  They have made their home in Girard, Pennsylvania, Texas, Idaho, Arkansas and Kansas.  They moved to Russell in 2008.

Todd was a welder by trade, but was known for his handyman work.  He has also worked for ACE Well Service, Patriot Oil Service, Klema’s Apple Market; a ranch hand in Texas and a roofer.

Todd was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Russell.  He loved to hunt and fish, tinkering and trying to fix things, and playing with his dogs.  He was proud that he was able to complete the 12 Step Program.

Surviving family include his wife of 12 years, Tina of the home; daughter, Julia Rose Roberts of Girard, Pennsylvania; son, Todd Michael Roberts of Conneautville, Pennsylvania, step daughters, Raven Antonia Thomas and Brenna Anneke Thomas both of Erie, Pennsylvania; father, James Roberts of Erie, Pennsylvania; brothers, James S. Roberts of Erie, Pennsylvania and John W. Turner of West Point, New York.  He was preceded in death by his mother and brother Shawn M. Uhler.

Celebration of Todd’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2012 at the First Southern Baptist Church of Russell.  A private family interment of ashes will follow at a later date.  A Memorial has been established as the Todd Roberts Memorial.  Contributions and condolences may be sent in care of Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary, who is in charge of these arrangements.
