Post #6240.  She was a longtime member of St. John Lutheran Church and the V.F.W. Women’s Auxiliary.  She enjoyed sewing, playing and watching sports, playing bingo, traveling and gardening with Roger.  Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren.

Surviving family include daughters Lisa Albrecht and husband Dennis of Kingwood, Texas and Denise Stritt and husband Jerry of Hays, Kansas; brother Dean Nuss of Russell; Sisters Dorothy Funk of Russell and Kay Gaines and husband Jack of Redmond, Washington; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchild.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and son in-law David Shumaker.

A celebration of Marjorie’s life will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, February 14, 2013, at St. John Lutheran Church with Pastor Roger Dennis officiating.  Burial will follow at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Russell.  Visitation will be from 9 A.M. to 8 P.M. on Wednesday, February 13, 2013, at the mortuary with family present to greet guests from 6 P.M. to 7 P.M. Wednesday evening.  Memorials may be given to St. John Lutheran Church or the Russell V.F.W.
