Carolyn Meier, 56 of Blue Springs, Missouri and formerly of Russell, Kansas died Thursday, October 2, 2008 at her home with her family by her side.

Carolyn was born May 6, 1952 in Russell, the daughter of Carl and Caroline (Weimaster) Meier.  She lived all her life in Russell until moving in 2008 with her mother to Blue Springs, Missouri to be closer to her brother.  Carolyn faced many challenges in her life both physically and mentally, but she always had a smile for family and friends, especially when going to McDonalds.

Her surviving family includes her mother, Caroline of Blue Springs, Missouri and her brother, Dale Meier also of Blue Springs.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, October 6, 2008 at Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary in Russell.  A private family committal will follow at St. John Lutheran Cemetery.  Visitation will be the morning of the service from 8 AM to Service time.  Condolences may be sent to Pohlman-Varner-Peeler Mortuary who are in charge of these arrangements.
